My name is Ilelabayo David Olaniyi.
I am a unique philosophical object-oriented artist of African origin who has been living/working/lecturing/exhibiting/performing art in schools and various institutions/organizations in the United States for 32 years. I came to the United States at the age of 18 as a young man and my American experience grow me a man, a husband, father, an artful philosopher of natural science. Now I am 52. Many of the societal issues I confronted at 18 years old til present as an African in America are still prevalent and plaguing society today, most especially to young men of color. I have been able to tackle some of this by developing a unique educational artful program through homeschooling of my boys (healthy, hearty, soulful, of great intellect) who are now age 18, 16, and 14, that has led to our first graduate getting a full ride admission into Brown University. Yet, I have had "the talk" like many other family's, not through fearing others, but with expansive artful performance and extensive vast learning. The other two teenage children are performing and blossoming greatly, both raised exclusively through this artful homeschool. The middle at 16, devoted to his discipline, is already making income that a University graduate could only dream of having, minus all the blemishes of teenager's behavioral character.

Knowing that our human, family, home, community "outside" is different from our "inside", vice versa, i have used my "inside" art initiative to influence greatly (first, my children and community) and correct for the better the behavioral societal plague and the psychological burdening effect on young men of color today. Going forward, I aim to continue to re-enforce in my children and others by shedding light to readdress and reconstruct approaches to the perception of the qualification of goodness in young men of color and children in society at large, so my 18 year old and others like him in the United States and world over could have a better sense of their self-identity and presence in our Heavenly humanity today.
